Delivery
We aim to deliver all orders exceeding the minimum value of £99 in 7-10 days, while many orders may be delivered in 1-3 days. For those items requested by the purchaser as Urgent and below the minimum order value, such items will carry an extra carriage charge which will depend on location.
In all cases it is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure orders & delivery addresses are checked as correct.
The customer must inform FurnishTime at the point of booking that appropriate parking is available for the delivery or make us aware of parking restrictions at the premises. Any parking penalties incurred will therefore be the responsibility of the customer. If Congestion charges are relevant in order for the delivery to be made, such charge will be added to the invoice. If delivery cannot be made for any reason which originates from the customer not being available to accept the delivery, items will incur a Refused Delivery charge of between £50-£100 according to the size of the load and the distance to the location.
Customers MUST inspect the delivery immediately upon arrival and returns must be made to FurnishTime Quality Control department where they will be inspected, if found to be faulty credit notes will be issued or a replacement sent if available.
Please Note: Delivery notes must be signed and the full name printed by consignee.
Any returned item must be accompanied by a FurnishTime returns note. Goods returned without the appropriate documentation may not be credited. Returns forms are available from FurnishTime by email or downloaded from our website.
Any items which have already been assembled cannot be credited unless FurnishTime sees clear evidence of manufacturing defect. It is the responsibility of the customer to fully check and unload all deliveries.
As FurnishTime has to take the health and safety of their delivery drivers into consideration and for security purposes at the point of delivery, the customer must be able to provide at least one able bodied person for unloading for orders up to £1000.00. For deliveries valuing in excess of £1000.00 the customer should provide a minimum of two able bodied people to unload.
It is the responsibility of the customer to check for damage and/or shortages which then must be brought to the attention of the driver, duly noted on all documentation and countersigned by the driver, the details reported immediately to the FurnishTime office whilst the driver is still present. Claims for shortages cannot be accepted after the point of delivery.
